top uses a config file in /etc called toprc. the presence of this file will determine top output and behavior. also, ~.toprc is more user specific obviously controlling output by login name.

running command "top" in cron

hi all, i would like to collect stat. about the cpu usage every 30 mins so, I set up the cron job sth like 0,30 * * * * * /usr/bin/top -d 1 >> $STAT i know cron doesn't have a TERM output, so error occurs. any ideas or work around for this?? many thanks (3 Replies)

install-solaris - install the Solaris operating system SYNOPSIS
install-solaris install-solaris invokes the Solaris Install program. Depending on graphical capability and available memory at the time of invocation, install-solaris invokes either a text-based installer or a graphical installer.
