additional info.

i had remarked the lines that load the applicaion after logging in.
TERM=vt220

i had been explained that .login &/or .csh [or similar] changes the ansi
to vt200.

make any sense?

       An  array  of  strings,	called	the  environment,  is made available by when a process begins.	By convention, these strings have the form
