There's no reason why a session invoked through putty should behave differently to one invoked through plink. That's very odd...

But as cfajohnson says, using [ -f * ] is generally something to avoid. What are you actually trying to test for?

Error with Plink

Putty / Plink help

Im trying C:\Program Files\PUTTY\plink.exe mysite.net -l username -pw mypassword -m restart.sh But the login / password are never sent. If I remove the -m restart.sh it will login I need the command inside restart.sh issued after the login password is completed. THanks (6 Replies)

NAME

       pam_open_session, pam_close_session - perform PAM session creation and termination operations

SYNOPSIS

       [ flag ... ] file ...  [ library ... ]

DESCRIPTION

       is  called  after  a user has been successfully authenticated (refer to pam_authenticate(3) and pam_acct_mgmt(3)) and is used to notify the
       session modules that a new session has been initiated.  All programs that use the pam(3) library should invoke when beginning  a  new  ses-
       sion.  Upon termination of this activity, should be invoked to inform pam(3) that the session has terminated.
