I am trying to modify a script which accepts date in format dd/mm/yy. I am trying to modify the script so that it retrieves the date that was 15 days earlier from today as start date. i am developing a korn shell script. One of the requirement is to generate the date, which is 7 days before the current date, and create a folder with that date.

Example:
Current date: 20130320 (yyyymmdd)
Last date of previous month: 20130228 (yyyymmdd)

stime() sets the system's idea of the time and date. The time, pointed to by t, is measured in seconds since the Epoch, 1970-01-01
00:00:00 +0000 (UTC). stime() may be executed only by the superuser.
RETURN VALUE
On success, zero is returned. On error, -1 is returned, and errno is set appropriately.
ERRORS
EFAULT Error in getting information from user space.
EPERM The calling process has insufficient privilege. Under Linux, the CAP_SYS_TIME privilege is required.
