Which is your favourite desktop?
Most of the people think that they can not use Unix as desktop.
By this poll we gone tell them that we not just use Unix as desktop but also love different display managers like GNOME, KDE etc.....

I am a newb linux user. And i am running suse 9.3 pro.
When i first installed it a couple of days ago, it booted into the desktop
fine the first four or five times.
And not when i turn on my computer and boot linux and loads the devices, then it prompts me...

i want to change my desktop to a darker look been to gnomelook.org and ubuntulook.org even deviant art but seem not able to find anything i like is there anybody out there that might be able to steer me into the right direction ?

gnome-shell [OPTION...]
DESCRIPTION
GNOME shell provides core user interface functions for the GNOME 3 desktop, like switching to windows and launching applications. GNOME
shell takes advantage of the capabilities of modern graphics hardware and introduces innovative user interface concepts to provide a
visually attractive and easy to use experience.
gnome-shell is a required component of the GNOME desktop, i.e. it is listed in the RequiredComponents field of
/usr/share/gnome-session/sessions/gnome.session. It is started in the window manager phase of the session.

-r, --replace
Replace the running window manager
--sm-disable
Disable connection to the session manager
--sm-client-id=ID
Specify session management ID
