Terminal Execution By Giving a Command

Hi Sysgate,
Thanks for your participation. Well, today I figured it out and I discovered a lot more.
Yes, it is gnome-terminal which I can run with Run An Application utility. I found it in Add to Panel feature wherein I found other interesting stuffs too.

Hi,
When I run the command acroread it is giving error
ERROR: Cannot find installation directory.
When I look at /usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/bin/ an exicutable file named acroread is there. When i run ./acroread from that directory it is working . What can i do so that I can give... (3 Replies)

Whenever the shell script is invoked by the scheduler the command execution return code is always captured as 0(Success).
If the same shell script is executed in command line via unix terminal, the command execution return code's are captured properly.
For example:

This package provides the most primitive commands for sending characters to a terminal. They are in essence convenient wrappers around the builtin command puts. ::term::send::wrch chan str Send the text str to the channel specified by the handle chan.
