I tried to build a 1.3 TB volume with disk suite, and recieved an error (don't remember the exact verbage, it was very late). It only built a 1 TB volume. newfs completed without error. Hi
I have a solaris 8 server that have LUN being removed from the server but it is still show up as error device in format command and in vxvm, i have already run devfsadm -C but it does not clear up the disk, is there other command to do this without reconfiguration boot?

I need to set up iscsi LUN on Solaris 9. I've done it on Solaris 10 with iscsiadm. How do you do it on Solaris 9 though? Currently using Solaris 9 update 2. Your help is appreciated.

I'm using Solaris server, SunOS 5.10 Generic_144488-08 sun4u sparc SUNW, SPARC-Enterprise.

I recently started working with Solaris, and what I noticed is that a lot of commands I used to regularly use don't work, like sed -i and grep -r. I have found work arounds for these problems though but it's a pain in the ass.

asn1_parser2tree - API function

int asn1_parser2tree(const char * file, asn1_node * definitions, char * error_desc);
ARGUMENTS
const char * file
specify the path and the name of file that contains ASN.1 declarations.
asn1_node * definitions
return the pointer to the structure created from "file" ASN.1 declarations.
char * error_desc
return the error description or an empty string if success.
DESCRIPTION
Function used to start the parse algorithm. Creates the structures needed to manage the definitions included in file file.
RETURNS
ASN1_SUCCESS if the file has a correct syntax and every identifier is known, ASN1_ELEMENT_NOT_EMPTY if definitions not NULL,
ASN1_FILE_NOT_FOUND if an error occured while opening file, ASN1_SYNTAX_ERROR if the syntax is not correct, ASN1_IDENTIFIER_NOT_FOUND if in
the file there is an identifier that is not defined, ASN1_NAME_TOO_LONG if in the file there is an identifier whith more than
ASN1_MAX_NAME_SIZE characters.
