pull out one of the disk and check if your system is still ok and accessible. check raidctl and it should tell that a controller device as "missing" plug back in the removed disk and synchronization takes place automatically

Hi,
I have a root with hardware RAID on c0t0d0 and c0t2d0. I would like to set the boot device sequence in OBP for both hdds.
I have checked in ls -l /dev/rdsk/ for the path of c0t2d0 but it does not exist. Can anyone shed some lights on this?

Hi,
I have problem creating hardware raid on T5120 with 4 disks. After the hardware raid 1 created, then I used the raidctl -l c1t0d0 and raidctl -l c1t2d0
the output of volume c1t0d0 contain disk 0.0.0 0.1.0, also the volume c1t2d0 contain disk 0.0.0 0.1.0 and should be 0.2.0 0.3.0

Hi everyone
I've just purchased a Sun T5120 server with 2 internal disks. I've configured hardware RAID (mirror) and as a result the device tree in Solaris only contains 1 hard drive.
My question is, how would I know when one of the drives become faulty?

I've just received my T3-1. It has 8 disks and I would like to configure RAID1 on the disks. The Sun documentation states that you can either use the OpenBoot PROMP utility called Fcode or you can use software via the Solaris OS.

Plan to use software raid (veritas volume mgr) on c1t2d0 disk.

NAME
quotacheck - ufs file system quota consistency checker
SYNOPSIS
quotacheck [-fp] [-v] filesystem...
quotacheck -a [-fpv]
DESCRIPTION
quotacheck examines each mounted ufs file system, builds a table of current disk usage, and compares this table against the information
stored in the file system's disk quota file. If any inconsistencies are detected, both the quota file and the current system copy of the
incorrect quotas are updated.
filesystem is either a file system mount point or the block device on which the file system resides.
quotacheck expects each file system to be checked to have a quota file named quotas in the root directory. If none is present, quotacheck
will not check the file system.
quotacheck accesses the character special device in calculating the actual disk usage for each user. Thus, the file systems that are
checked should be quiescent while quotacheck is running.
OPTIONS
The following options are supported:
-a Check the file systems which /etc/mnttab indicates are ufs file systems. These file systems must be read-write mounted with disk
quotas enabled, and have an rq entry in the mntopts field in /etc/vfstab.
-f Force check on file systems with logging enabled. Use in combination with the -p option.
-p Check quotas of file systems in parallel. For file systems with logging enabled, no check is performed unless the -f option is
also specified.
-v Indicate the calculated disk quotas for each user on a particular file system. quotacheck normally reports only those quotas modi-
fied.
USAGE
See largefile(5) for the description of the behavior of quotacheck when encountering files greater than or equal to 2 Gbyte ( 2**31 bytes).
