Can anyone please let me know, who is filling the correct checksum and how to disable it??

Thanks in Advance.

LOL, its the kernel obviously Smilie, what option did ya use after opening the socket ???
AFAIK, if you include the ip header (which you did) then the kernel will compute that checksum for you if checksum field is 0 otherwise your packet will be sent using that value... So your problem seems a bit weird to me too Smilie

checksum

Does anyone know the answer to this? When I run "sum -r" on a file that I've down loaded from the sco website, the 1st set of numbers differs from the checksum on the download page but the 2nd set matches. If I try to install the patch, I get errors. Anyone has an answer? (3 Replies)

NAME
shishi_authenticator_set_cksum - API function SYNOPSIS
#include <shishi.h> int shishi_authenticator_set_cksum(Shishi * handle, Shishi_asn1 authenticator, int32_t cksumtype, char * cksum, size_t cksumlen); ARGUMENTS
Shishi * handle shishi handle as allocated by shishi_init(). Shishi_asn1 authenticator authenticator as allocated by shishi_authenticator(). int32_t cksumtype input checksum type to store in authenticator. char * cksum input checksum data to store in authenticator. size_t cksumlen size of input checksum data to store in authenticator. DESCRIPTION
Store checksum value in authenticator. A checksum is usually created by calling shishi_checksum() on some application specific data using the key from the ticket that is being used. To save time, you may want to use shishi_authenticator_add_cksum() instead, which calculates the checksum and calls this function in one step. RETURN VALUE
Returns SHISHI_OK iff successful. REPORTING BUGS
