concatenating the filename with date
but that folder contains other files apart from the files that I have mentioned.
so how can include the file name in the comand that you have given me like emp_oo1

lastfile =`ls -1tr | tail -n 1`
echo $lastfile
The output is then:
partner131210.txt (meaning 13th December 2010)
