the external hard drive that does get recognized by my desktop caused the keyboard error.
now i no this has nothing to do with this thread, im just too lazy to make a new one, so if anyone can help,i need to mount my ext. hard drive to my pc.
has ubuntu 7.10
ubuntu 8.04
and windows xp
