Sure you can, the only thing you have to consider is the load resources, if primary and standby server are both running different application in a cluster then both primary and secondary server must have enuf cpu, memory swap resources to able to run both apps in the event one of server is down.

/usr/cluster/lib/sc/cl_eventd [-v] DESCRIPTION
The cl_eventd daemon is started at boot time to monitor system events that are generated by other cluster components. This daemon also for- wards these events to other cluster nodes. Only the events of class EC_Cluster are forwarded to other cluster nodes. OPTIONS
