I have ftped a .ZIP file (zipped using WinZip in Windows) to my Unix server (HP-UX).
I don't have unzip cmd available in my curent Unix version

Hi,
I need to zip/compress a data file and send to a vendor. The vendor does have only unzip utility and can accept only .ZIP files. I do not have zip utility in my server.
How do I zip/compress the file so that it can be deflated using unzip command ? I tried gzip & compress commands, but... (1 Reply)

I have to zip many pdf files and the size of zip file must not exceed 200 MB. When size is more than 200 MB then multiple zip files needs to be created.
How we can achieve this in UNIX?

We've got a shell-script, that creates some different files based on several criteria given, using a sql-script.
After creating, those files are individually zipped and stored, then sent to a ftp-server.

I receive multiple zipped directories with files in them, so the .zip name is the name of the directory containing the files.
so i have used a simple loop to unzip all of them but when unzipped i have folders/directories, i wanted to strip these directories and remain with the actual files from... (1 Reply)

SYNOPSIS
blaze-make [-cpqrIFPTV] [-b directory] [-d directory]
blaze-make -h|-v
DESCRIPTION
blaze-make reads the BlazeBlogger repository, and generates a complete directory tree of static pages, including blog posts, single pages,
monthly and yearly archives, tags, and even an RSS feed.
OPTIONS
-b directory, --blogdir directory
Allows you to specify a directory in which the BlazeBlogger repository is placed. The default option is a current working directory.
-d directory, --destdir directory
Allows you to specify a directory in which the generated blog is to be placed. The default option is a current working directory.
-c, --no-css
Disables creating a style sheet.
-I, --no-index
Disables creating the index page.
-p, --no-posts
Disables creating blog posts.
-P, --no-pages
Disables creating pages.
-T, --no-tags
Disables creating tags.
-r, --no-rss
Disables creating the RSS feed.
-F, --full-paths
Enables including page names in generated links.
-q, --quiet
Disables displaying of unnecessary messages.
