The E250 is a PCI bus based machine, so most things are pretty easy to connect still. An old A1000/D1000 T3 or similar would work fine with a PCI HBA but almost anything that can be PCI connected will work, or you could backup over the network to another machine that has simpler ( eg. USB ) attached storage if it short term.
