You should have a 'middle click' emulation activated on your X installation.

Usually emulation happens when you right click, keep the right click pressed, then left click. That should emulate the middle click.

Or vice versa the right and left.

g3dviewer - a program to display and inspect 3D models SYNOPIS
g3dviewer [options] [<filename>] DESCRIPTION
After loading a valid model it should appear on the screen. Use the left mouse button to rotate the model. To move the view hold down the SHIFT key and use left mouse button. To zoom the model use the scroll wheel or hold the middle mouse button and move the mouse up or down.
