ssh public/private Keys
Hello,
I have an issue with an outside party trying to deliver a file to our server via SFTP.
I have setup the .ssh directory under the home directory for the user account that is being used and setup the authorized_keys file with correct permissons etc for .ssh directory and file.
We currently have another third party delivering files sucessfully via SFTP by the same method.
When the connection is made we get the following messages in the secure log file.
Mar 13 14:13:25 rch3 sshd[24063]: Address 210.55.xxx.xx maps to 210-55-xxx-xx.netgate.net.nz, but this does not map back to the address - POSSIBLE BREAKIN ATTEMPT!
Mar 13 14:13:25 rch3 sshd[24064]: Connection closed by 210.55.xxx.xx
I have added the IP address to the hosts_allow file for the sshd service but no joy.
Can anyone suggest what might be the problem and how I can rectify?
Thanks
