IANA /etc Files 2.30 (Default branch)
iana-etc installs /etc/services and /etc/protocols using data from the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority. Included are snapshots of the data from the IANA, scripts to transform that data into the needed formats, and scripts to fetch the latest data. License: Open Software License Changes:
This release contains support for protocol-specific port aliases, fixes to handling of port ranges, fixes to network fetching and services file generation to match changes in the data from the IANA, and updated data from the IANA. Upgrading is strongly advised.

May someone can answer this. Anytime I ignite my laptop to go online I see via etherape that I am connected to IANA as shown below. Is my provider redirecting me there, the cable under the sea, what is the reason for this?
