Bash script pass sentence in block

Hi People,
I need some Help to write a unix script that asks for a sentence to be typed out then with the sentence. Counts the number of spaces within the sentence and then echo's out "The Number Of Spaces In The Sentence is 4" as a example

This is my bash script.i am calling validation.sql and passing a value to it using ${flds}.
i want the cnt variable in plsql script to be passed to unix.
LOADREC=`sqlplus -s $ORACLE_USR <<-EOF

I have to pass a sentence in a file, the specs are as:
cat run | sed 's/SRT/'$8'/g' | sed 's/plength/68/g' | sed 's/stcol/'$5'/g' | sed 's/encol/'$6'/g' | sed 's/brdtype/'$1'/g' | sed's/brdtxt/'$3'/g' | sed 's/demotxt/Total '$2'/g' | sed 's/bantxt/ban_'$7'/g' | sed 's/validcodes/'$4'/g' > runx

I have written a script which works fine, to remove patterns contained in EXCLUDE.DAT from input.txt
awk 'BEGIN {n=0;while (getline < "EXCLUDE.DAT" > 0){ex=$0;n++}} {for(var in ex){print var "-" ex $0 ;i++}}' input.txt

My question is about curl command. (ubuntu14.04)
In terminal, I am able to download my mainfile with:
curl -u user1:pass1 http://11.22.33.44/*******
When I convert it into bash script like this:

Test::Inline::Content - Test::Inline 2 Content Handlers DESCRIPTION
One problem with the initial versions of Test::Inline 2 was the method by which it generated the script contents. "Test::Inline::Content" provides a basic API by which more sophisticated extensions can be written to control the content of the generated scripts. METHODS
new A default implementation of the "new" method is provided that takes no parameters and creates a default (empty) object. Returns a new "Test::Inline::Content" object. process $Inline $Script The "process" method does the work of generating the script content. It takes as argument the parent Test::Inline object, and the completed Test::Inline::Script object for which the file is to be generated. The default implementation returns only an empty script that dies with an appropriate error message. Returns the content of the script as a string, or "undef" on error. SUPPORT
