MySQL GRANT permission.
Hi,
I'm one of a server administrators. I've the linux root account but I don't know the root password of MySQL (Server version: 5.0.32). I want to GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES to my MySQL account without changing the MySQL's root password. How can I do so?

Other than 'sudo', is there some way under Users/Groups configuration?

I have to grant sudo permission to a user.
I have searched online and find that /etc/sudoers file needs to be changed with visudo command. As i am new to linux, this is not clear to me. Can anybody take an example and show me how exactly this done.

omysqli_get_server_info(3)

string mysql_get_server_info ([resource $link_identifier = NULL])
DESCRIPTION
Retrieves the MySQL server version.

link_identifier -The MySQL connection. If the link identifier is not specified, the last link opened by mysql_connect(3) is
assumed. If no such link is found, it will try to create one as if mysql_connect(3) was called with no arguments. If no connection
is found or established, an E_WARNING level error is generated.
Returns the MySQL server version on success or FALSE on failure.
