I have a java program that create reports, and I would like to run it at each hour using crontab.
The main file is crome.jar located at /WebApps/Crome folder.
When I want to execute the program I use the next script (name crome):

My code isn't pretty, my verbage isn't exact and I probably don't have all my facts together (story of my life). I know what I want with this script: to join three simple lines line 1,2,3 then repeat over and over again with 4,5,6 until the end of the file. the lines are the same, date,date,text.... (3 Replies)

I have more than 1 files in the directory. In bash, I can use
cd /work
for x in `ls`

done
to run for each file in the directory.
How about in perl script?

I have two types of files in a directory:
*.txt
*.info
I have a perl script that uses these two files as arguments, and produces a result file:
perl myScript.pl abc.txt abc.xml

i created 1 txt file a.cron
mirrordir -vm \home\t \homet1
& i saved it.
then i created a crontab file ..with

I want to run a php file from a url using cron tab.
I am using a webhosting and i give a command like that
9 11 9 2 * wget -O /dev/null here-is-domain-name/cronfile.php
but it does not work please tell me why this not work.

I have a perl script that is called with a router name command list file and output file. The command file can be very large, up to 3k of commands.
