Root cannot change /home permission
Folks;
I'm a root but i couldn't change /home directory permission or group. i'm getting operation not permitted.
Any help?

useradd -d/home/user -m -s /bin/sh user
user is created with in the following path
/export/home/user (auto mount)
i need the user to be created like this
(/home as default home directory )

when i tried to create the /home/ab dir , i got he following error.

i do not have root on a solairs 10 server , however i do have the root role, i was wondering if I can change the root password as a a role with the passwd command? I have not tried yet.
and do i have to use the # chgkey -p afterwards?
i need to patch is why i am asking.
