remove old files from a directory
Hello
I'm new to this forum, so I did a quick scan of the FAQs to see if my problem had been addressed already, since I believe it is probably a very common need. I was surprised that I did not see anything obvious.
I need to remove all files from a directory that have a last modified date older than 60 days. All files from the last 60 days should be retained.
One of my problems is that, on my system, newer files displayed with the
'ls -l' command are listed as follows, with no year:
Jan 03 21:29 -- with month, day, hours and minutes only
whereas older files are listed with the year but no time:
Jan 03 2007
(I don't need the time. I also don't need to go into subdirectories.)
I've seen the datecalc routines in the forums, but don't see how to apply them in my case. Can anybody please help? I would prefer to use Kornshell.
Thanks!
