sorry, found many similar threads in the forum.

because i am using GNU date, i can get it by
Code:
date -d " x months ago"

depending how many months i need, just replace x with the require number.

cron script -run every 2nd day of month except Monday

I know I can't schedule this in cron and would have to write a wrapper around my script and schedule it in cron ....but not sure how do to this? How do I exclude Monday if the 2nd day of the month falls on a Monday? Thanks. I tried this: 0 0 2 * 0,2-6 command And I know this doesnt... (2 Replies)

needs to display month for previous day date

Hello, I wanted to display the month for previous day date. Like, today date is 18-Nov-2008. So the previous date is 17-Nov-2008. The output should be November. If the today date is 1-DEC-2008, then output should be NOVEMBER. If the today date is 1-JAN-2008, then output should be DECEMBER.... (4 Replies)

NAME

       mhc2palm - add/copy articles from mhc to PalmOS.

SYNOPSIS

       mhc2palm [options] files...

DESCRIPTION

       This  manual  page documents briefly the mhc2palm commands.  This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the
       original program does not have a manual page.

       mhc2palm is a program that add or copy articles from mhc to PalmOS.

OPTIONS

       A summary of options is included below.

       -a     Add mhc articles to a palm.  all the original records of the palm will remain.

       -i     Copy mhc articles into the palm.	all the original records of palm will be lost.

       -n     Do nothing effectives. Useful for checking.

       -d dev Set the device file connected to the palm. default value is /dev/pilot.

       -r dir Set repository directory of the mhc. default is ~/Mail/schedule.

       YYYYMMDD-yyyymmdd
	      set a start and end date of scanning mhc. if omitted, scan from 3 months ago to 3 months after.
