All,
I have a need to software change the MAC address of a NIC in a Sparc Ultra 10 - I believe there is a command that allows to do this at boot up?
Is it a missing (to me) part of ifconfig ?
If so, what is the syntax?

Hi,
I bound a virtual IP to a network card on my E450 server and I am getting this error when I reboot the server, saying, " retrying host, RPC time out. I had to break this sequence and allow other services to load. Of course they didn't load properly. Please how can I sort this out? I do need... (8 Replies)

I couldn't install my nic in solaris 10. I compiled and added
the driver but failed to attach the driver and ifconfig output
shows only loopback dev. Please see the following output and tell
me whether my nic has been detected and why the driver failed to

Anyone ever see the NIC get a mac of 00-00-00-00-00-00?
Changing it in driver advanced tab didn't stick. Used macshift and gave it a random one. Best guess I had is it lost its eprom. It was an issues on my dads pc I stopped by after work so I wasn't able to boot a proper OS to further diagnose.

I want tune my NIC's rps, rfs and xps value.
In my system I have two NIC (eth0, eth1) and I have a bond0 ( eth0, eth1).
Here is the question? Which device should I modify ?
eth0 and eth1? or just modify bond0 or modify all device (eth0, eth1, bond0)

My ask is how can I add two different subnet IPs to same box with two different gateways?
The issue is I can connect to the box when I am on ethernet LAN, but I am not able to connect to the same IP when I am on wifi. The server is RHEL 7 VM on vmware.

DESCRIPTION
iscsiuio is the UserSpace I/O driver for the Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5706/5708/5709 series PCI/PCI-X Gigabit Ethernet Network Interface
Card (NIC) and for the Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM57710/57711/57712/57800/57810/57840 series PCI-E 10 Gigabit Ethernet Network Interface
Card. The driver has been tested on 2.6.28 kernels and above.
Refer to the README.TXT from the driver package on how to compile and install the driver.
Refer to various Linux documentations on how to configure network protocol and address.
DRIVER DEPENDENCIES
PARAMETERS
There are very few parameters when running this application.
-d<debuglevel>
This is to enable debug mode where debug messages will be sent to stdout The following debug modes are supported
DEBUG 4 - Print all messages
INFO 3 - Print messages needed to follow the uIP code (default)
WARN 2 - Print warning messages
ERROR 1 - Only print critical errors
-f This is to enable forground mode so that this application doesn't get sent into the background.
-v This is to print the version.
-p<pidfile>
Use pidfile (default /var/run/iscsiuio.pid )
-h Display this help and exit.
