Well i am right now working on an IBM P550 risc server with an HMC connected.. The server has 2 logical partitions (Lpar). both lpar is having Aix 5.3 installed.
Now I have a doubt.. is it possible to have Aix in one lpar and windows 2003 in another..

Hi There,
I'm new here and this is my first (of many ;) ) problems. I've got AIX 5.3 on our unix box and i'm trying to do a DLPAR memory change, but then I ok it I get an error telling me that there is no RMC connection. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this?

i talking about the log of the HMC console (lssvcevent).
2) The HMC function "Backup Critical Data" store the backup also on remote server through SFTP? In the documentation i read only FTP and NFS.

Maybe this is the wrong forum, but...
after upgrading one of our HMCs from 7.3.5 to 7.7.5 we detected two problems:
- older problem files ( /info/en_US/eclipse/plugins/p7eai/heapdump... , /opt/ccfw/data/vr ) are not deleted by chhmcfs
- HMC-scheduled backups via ftp to our nim-server don't run... (2 Replies)

First IPL of used P550 in Home Lab displayed this on Control Panel: Line-1(01 M F), Line-2(HMC=0 T). Issue #1: Changed "01" to "02" and "M" to "N" on line-1, but IPL failed; no change on display panel. Set "M" back to "N" and exit function "2", but function "3" for IPL restart would not display. ... NAME
jack-rack - a LADSPA effects rack
SYNOPSIS
jack-rack [options] files...
DESCRIPTION
This manual page documents briefly the jack-rack command. This manual page was written for the Debian distribution because the original
program does not have a manual page.
The jack-rack program allows you to load several LADSPA plugins and stack them together in order to build a virtual effects box.
OPTIONS
This program follows the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`-'). A summary of options is included
below.
-h, --help
Display this help info
-p, --pid-name
Use the pid in the JACK client name (default)
-s, --string-name
Use <string> in the JACK client name
-n, --name
Use just jack_rack as the client name
-i, --input
Connected inputs to the first two physical capture ports
-o, --output
Connected outputs to the first two physical playback ports
-c, --channels <int>
How many input and output channels the rack should use (default: 2)
-D, --tmpdir <dir>
Tell JACK to use <dir> for its temporary files
