That does appear to be some sort of help (command line options). Are you passing the right question to keytool? Maybe it needs "keytool --help" for example. Most of the linux tools are dash single character and double-dash word.

Both refer to the same tool (and it uses -help, a single dash). It might be better to just reference one of these pages for more help if this is the tool you're looking for
What output do you get if you just type keytool -help without redirecting?

I am currently working on a program which requires direct its ouput to a file here is an example
./proram arg_1 arg_2
when program ends all output will be arg_2 file
Is that possible I am not a bad programmer, However I am stuck there.
Can anyone give a hint?

I want to know how to redirect the output of topas -P to a file in a readable format. I tried doing it by using
topas -P > topas.txt but the output is not properly aligned and when I opened it using vi it ahd some characters.
