I'm running RH 9.0 on a PII box with 160MB RAM. Just downloaded RealVNC X86 Linux (version 3.3.7). How can I get the HTTP listening port up ?

I want to write a server application that would accept HTTP requests from client.
The server would be on a machine that has no connection to the INTERNET.
The clients that would be posting their HTTP requests would be doing so through webbrowser .Thus it would be sort of intranet application.... (0 Replies)

I want my server socket to listen on two ports in my machine. How do i achieve it? I will have two clients one connecting to 1 port and another to a different port. So my server needs to listen to both.

My certificate in /etc/ssh is different to what is on port 22.
username@server:~$ ssh-keyscan -p 22 127.0.0.1 > /tmp/rsa.tmp

There is a recent case whereby it was reported that one of the production servers was hacked on port 1521. However, I am not sure how this was possible, as I checked that the OS firewall (iptables) is on :

notmuch-hooks - hooks for notmuch SYNOPSIS
$DATABASEDIR/.notmuch/hooks/* DESCRIPTION
Hooks are scripts (or arbitrary executables or symlinks to such) that notmuch invokes before and after certain actions. These scripts reside in the .notmuch/hooks directory within the database directory and must have executable permissions. The currently available hooks are described below. pre-new This hook is invoked by the new command before scanning or importing new messages into the database. If this hook exits with a non- zero status, notmuch will abort further processing of the new command. Typically this hook is used for fetching or delivering new mail to be imported into the database. post-new This hook is invoked by the new command after new messages have been imported into the database and initial tags have been applied. The hook will not be run if there have been any errors during the scan or import. Typically this hook is used to perform additional query-based tagging on the imported messages. SEE ALSO
