I'm coming a little bit later here, but can you post more information on this issue, plus you can always look at the logs of postfix, do a "postfix reload" and see how it reflects on the logs.

when I telnet to my machine on port 25 and send an email to myself, the machine sends the email to the old corporate mail server instead of the new corporate mail server.
how to change that so that any email sent from my linux box goes directly to the new mail server?

I have a solaris 8 machine which sends me an email to my outlook every night about the status of the system. The end of this script looks like this

ocf_heartbeat_postfix - Manages a highly available Postfix mail server instance
SYNOPSIS
postfix [start | stop | monitor | meta-data | validate-all]
DESCRIPTION
This script manages Postfix as an OCF resource in a high-availability setup.
SUPPORTED PARAMETERS
binary
Full path to the Postfix binary. For example, "/usr/sbin/postfix". (optional, string, default /usr/sbin/postfix)
config_dir
Full path to a Postfix configuration directory. For example, "/etc/postfix". (unique, optional, string, no default)
parameters
The Postfix daemon may be called with additional parameters. Specify any of them here. (optional, string, no default)
SUPPORTED ACTIONS
This resource agent supports the following actions (operations):
start
Starts the resource. Suggested minimum timeout: 20s.
stop
Stops the resource. Suggested minimum timeout: 20s.
reload
Suggested minimum timeout: 20s.
monitor
