Mail Script need Help???

Hi

I have written the folowing mail function:
SENDMAIL () { mailx -r 'Team' -s ' QA Test & Work Build & Deployment ---> STARTED' $INTERESTED<<EOF
Maintenance is going on $path in 10 Minutes. So Please exit the Accounts
EOF
return
}

Above is working fine for me..

The question i have is, how do i include $path in my subject...
