That was all ok.
But instead of chaging the boot order in your BIOS, you could install grub on your primary disk's MBR... Just be careful with disk names in grub, they are different from Linux. For example, hdb1 = (hd0,0) in grub.
I've had win2k on NTFS with linux and had no problems... But I modified menu.lst by hand...

slave bind name resolution inquiry

hi. i configured a master and slave bind server on my vmware test network. i used nslookup to the slave name server to lookup a fake entry for network.com that the master dns set, however, the slave is resolving the real ip of www.network.com, instead of what the master dns server set. i checked...
