abhi,

Oooo... you already have Windows on the machine and you don't want to lose it right? Well... if its windows on the disk entirely, you'll want a Linux Live distro cd. Im also new to the Unix/Linux environment, but I've made mistakes and learned from them.

First off, don't install Linux on your machine, unless you're willing to start all over learning an Operating system. You'll want a CD/DVD live Linux Distro for that. You can find them at either of the below sites:

After hitting the site, make sure that you're downloading the live copy of the distro. You don't want to install, and you'll know which you have when you boot from CD. Live boots straight to the GUI (leaving you in wonder as to how the interface came up since nothing was "installed").
Installations ask what partition and file system... blah blah... don't continue (again, unless you don't mind giving up MS for Linux).

There are several live distro's out there. Pick your flavor and enjoy. Smilie.

NAME
Net::DNS::RR::NAPTR - DNS NAPTR resource record SYNOPSIS
use Net::DNS; $rr = new Net::DNS::RR('name NAPTR order preference flags service regexp replacement'); DESCRIPTION
DNS Naming Authority Pointer (NAPTR) resource records. METHODS
The available methods are those inherited from the base class augmented by the type-specific methods defined in this package. Use of undocumented package features or direct access to internal data structures is discouraged and could result in program termination or other unpredictable behaviour. order $order = $rr->order; A 16-bit unsigned integer specifying the order in which the NAPTR records must be processed to ensure the correct ordering of rules. Low numbers are processed before high numbers. preference $preference = $rr->preference; A 16-bit unsigned integer that specifies the order in which NAPTR records with equal "order" values should be processed, low numbers being processed before high numbers. flags $flags = $rr->flags; A string containing flags to control aspects of the rewriting and interpretation of the fields in the record. Flags are single characters from the set [A-Z0-9]. service $service = $rr->service; Specifies the service(s) available down this rewrite path. It may also specify the protocol used to communicate with the service. regexp $regexp = $rr->regexp; A string containing a substitution expression that is applied to the original string held by the client in order to construct the next domain name to lookup. replacement $replacement = $rr->replacement; The next NAME to query for NAPTR, SRV, or address records depending on the value of the flags field.
