does anybody know what the bcb feature is in EMC?

Biker is correct.
We also use BCVs for something other than a backup for raw disks.
First, we use BCVs to take a snapshot of a production database for backup, but also to use as a Reporting function for our Accounting department. This gives them something to pull reports from the previous days business.
Second, We also use BCVs to copy Databases from one box to another for analysis and development purposes. This is much faster than trying to copy 1/2 a Terabyte or more of data from one box to another. No bandwidth is used up. Of course you need to have Volume groups and Filesystems defined on the second box by BCV with the disk devices that are associated with the Filesystems on the Primary box. Once you have that setup it is simply a matter of making the sync, breaking the mirror and then mounting them on the second box!

We are looking at running MPIO for it's redundancy and load balancing benefits. Does anyone know what pieces of software or modules are needed on the VIO server to get load balancing to work. I'm running vxdmp and powerpath at the same time. Vxdmp for internal disks and powerpath for external.
The problem is that, on the failover tests which a fiber cable should be removed, the system cannot recognize the disks.

I have a redhat 5.3 server which has 2 vg.. one is rootvg in local harddisk and another one is applicationvg in SAN.. When I reboot the server , EMC powerpath driver is not starting up automatically. I'm trying to auto-mount EMC Symmetrix BCV device at boot.
but having problem making BCV available.
I put script called mkbcv to the inittab and engineer suggested to add
120 sec sleep between cfgmgr so I did that also.

I have a two x6270 solaris 10, blade, connected to a EMC x4 storage appliance via fibre.
I have little knowledge of veritasfile system, and EMC x4, storage device, but I found out that one DG is in shared mode.
I need to split the configuration, to use only one server (blade).

glutDialsFunc sets the dial & button box dials callback for the current window. The dial & button box dials callback for a window is called when the window has dial & button box input focus (normally, when the mouse is in the window) and the user generates dial & button box dial changes. The dial parameter will be the dial number (starting at one). The number of available dial & button box dials can be determined with glutDeviceGet(GLUT_NUM_DIALS). The value measures the absolute rotation in degrees. Dial values do not ``roll over'' with each com- plete rotation but continue to accumulate degrees (until the int dial value overflows). Registering a dial & button box dials callback when a dial & button box device is not available is ineffectual and not an error. In this case, no dial & button box dials callbacks will be generated.
