Not sure <I>why</I> you would want to do this, but anyway...


You could probably get clever with Ansi escape codes to move
the cursor around for you:

echo "\033[<STRONG>R</STRONG>;<STRONG>C</STRONG>H"

Puts the cursor at row <STRONG>R</STRONG> and column <STRONG>C</STRONG>
