Why?

Why should a person buy 2 or 3 cd's when you can download it?
Is it because there is a guide how-to install Mandrake or is it because there are more programs on 3 cd's?

Isn't Linux free (GPL)? So why would a person buy it? I really don't understand it. I've allways downloaded my Linux dist'ro's.

Linux Mandrake Prosuite costs exactly> 175$
Who would pay that kind of money? Just because there are some few more cd's, some installation manuals and telephone help for 30 days? You can actually get a list of all the programs there are on the cd's. You visit the websites and then you download them manually instead of paying 175$ on 9 cd's and a DVD-movie. Its not worth it, if you're not a big corporate firm.....
