try to use command - mkdev cdrom - and follow instruction on the screen, or download from SCO ftp (or Caldera ftp) where you can find file - oss478a.Z, for adding IDE driver (wd) for SCO Openserver 5.0.2 and 5.0.4. SCO OS 5.0.2 by default does not support IDE controller. BTLD disk for SCSI controller you can find on site of manufacturer SCSI controller or suitable in the same place as for IDE controller. Use BTLD disk during booting system.

readdvd [-l] [-h] readdvd -d DEVICE1 [-d DEVICE2] [-d ...] -o file.iso [-s #] [-v] [-vv] DESCRIPTION
readdvd reads even a corrupted dvd and writes the the result into a new image file on your harddisk. DEVICE
can be an IDE, SCSI, SATA, USB or FireWire connected optical drive. Not all SATA controller support all Plextor features.
