What is the output of the following:
uname -a
echo $PATH
Also, do:
find / -type f -name sed 2> /dev/null
If the find command finds a sed, such as /usr/bin/sed, then reference that instead of the unqualified "sed".

The GNU shtool subst command was originally written by Ralf S. Engelschall <rse@engelschall.com> in 2001 for GNU shtool. It was prompted
