There's a beginners guide, good searching and links to some sample code. What more could you ask. You're gonna have to do the groundwork though....

How to run multiple piped commands in a find -exec statement?

I can't get this to work. Running a single command works fine: find . -name "*.dat" -exec wc -l '{}' \; gives me the file name and number of lines in each .dat file in the directory. But what if I want to pipe commands, e.g. to grep something and get the number of lines with that pattern... (3 Replies)

irunner [options] file_to_run DESCRIPTION
irunner is an interface to the various interactive runners available in IPython's irunner module. It can used to run scripts as if they where typed up interactively. The already implemented runners are listed below; adding one for a new program is a trivial task, see the source for examples. OPTIONS
-h, --help show this help message and exit --ipython IPython interactive runner (default). --python Python interactive runner. --sage SAGE interactive runner. EXAMPLE
