The NameVirtualHost directive is only required if you want to run multiple webs from a single IP address. Now you said your box is on 129.250.242.125, and you want the web on 129.250.242.126?
The example you gave will work, but you can also DNS
www.my_domain.com to 129.250.242.126 (and change the ip address to a name)

I want to access both machines using putty in vista. I used DHCP while installing virtual machines. one machine gets the ip address and other does not. What is the problem? can i assign a static ip address if yes how?

nbprgstr registers nbpname with atalkd(8), at the given port. nbpunrgstr informs atalkd that nbpname is no longer to be advertised.
nbplkup displays up to maxresponses (default 1000) entities registered on the AppleTalk internet. nbpname is parsed by nbp_name(3). An `='
for the object or type matches anything, and an `*' for zone means the local zone. The default values are taken from the NBPLKUP
environment variable, parsed as an nbpname.
