ftp to multiple servers
Hi folks. I am writing a ksh ftp script. The problem is, I need to transfer the files to several different servers. Is there a way to close a connection and move on to the next in one script or do I need to write a separate script for each one?

I have server A and server B.
On server B the directory is called /tmp/hmp
On server A I want to get the files on server B:/tmp/hmp via FTP. After I have got the files via FTP I have to delete them. In the script below I'm affraid of that I delete files before I get them by ftp.

I'm using the following script to automated ftp files to 1 ftp servers

/usr/bin/ftp -vi >> $bkplog 2>&1 <<ftp
open $host
bin
cd ${directory}
put $files
quit

and the .netrc file contain
machine 192.168.0.1

NAME
script - make record of a terminal session
SYNOPSIS
script [-a] [filename]
DESCRIPTION
The script utility makes a record of everything printed on your screen. The record is written to filename. If no file name is given, the
record is saved in the file typescript. See WARNINGS.
The script command forks and creates a sub-shell, according to the value of $SHELL, and records the text from this session. The script ends
when the forked shell exits or when Control-d is typed.
OPTIONS
The following option is supported:
-a Appends the session record to filename, rather than overwriting it.
NOTES
script places everything that appears on the screen in filename, including prompts.
