I/O error
I have error in my tape drive... what is that mean this msg "tar: write error: I/O error"
plz help me
i checked the SCSI and the power of the tape drive.
bash-2.03$ mt -f /dev/rmt/1 status
HP DAT-72 tape drive:
sense key(0xb)= Aborted Command residual= 0 retries= 0
file no= 0 block no= 0
bash-2.03$ tar -cvf /dev/rmt/1 afm.dmp
a wapgwbak20060318030100.dmp 462208 tape blocks
tar: write error: I/O error

I have two servers with a fresh install of Solaris 11, and having problems when doing rpcinfo between them. There is no firewall involved, so everything should theoretically be getting through. Does anyone have any ideas? I did a lot of Google searches, and haven't found a working solution yet.

DESCRIPTION
The TMSCP driver provides a standard tape drive interface, as described in mtio(7). This is a driver for any controller that adheres to
