1. Is this a public or private website?

2. What platform, operating system, webserver are you using?

3. What do you think "Telnet" is?

1. Its gonna be a Public Website

2. OS: Window Vista Ultimate, i'll use my friends server ALTEREDGENETICS

3. Telnet is Telnet is a utility program and protocol that allows one to connect to another computer on a network. After providing a username and password to login to the remote computer, one can enter commands that will be executed as if entered directly from the remote computer's console.

1. So you have a public URL and the server is permenantly connected to the internet?

2. What WebServer are you running on Windows?

3. I recommend you talk to the person running the website and ask how you deploy pages on it.

4. I suggest you find a better way to configure a Windows box than using Telnet.

You do realize that telnet is sent in clear text, correct? Which means if this is accessible via the Internet, you're virtually asking to be hacked. A simple sniffer will pick up your user names and passwords.

I , too, would suggest using a more secure connection of some sort.
