vi.....line too long
I'm getting a "line too long" error when I try to vi a particular file. I really just need to view the contents as I don't have to change anything. Any suggestions?? I already tried to cat but it didnt work........Smilie

Try the command "less" Smilie

View has the same result and "less" is not reconized.

Try "more", although it's more primitive than less (you haven't the possibility to scroll up and down in vi-like way).

But, I'm curious, what OS are you using? It's strange you don't have the less program. I have it on both my Linux and Solaris workstations.
