help please

hi,

i posted before about unix SCO 5. We use unix at work. I am trying to build another computer and load the software on it. I want it to recognize a Tandberg tapedriver. I cant get any software to recognize the tapedrive. i installed sco 5 and when it starts up it asks for the boot disk everytime. i tried to uninstall unix and go with fedora and now the computer is telling me that it is the incorrect operating system. i even get the dreaded NO OS when i start it up. i had fedora on there but couldnt configure the SCSI to recognize the new board for the tapedriver. i am a novice to these types of OSes. i am used to XP. i could really use the help. i would like to figure out how to get fedora back on the workstation and maybe try loading the drivers for the tandberg. i bought two books and neither really show me what i need to know. so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks joanne Smilie

I think your problem can't be that hard.

(1) Download the latest Red-Hat and burn it on a CD.
(2) Make sure your computer is set to boot from CD.
(3) Place the CD in your drive and boot.
(4) Installation should come up, make sure you wipe your drives and re-partition them.

This should work.... Just a normal install...

maybe you just didn't include scsi-support in your kernel
