UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Hi

I have the following case satement

echo "1 \n 2 \n 3 \n"
read i

case $i in
1) my statement;;
2) my statement;;
3) my statement;;
esac

The question i have is after executing "my ststement" it should return to my menu i.e

1
2
3

when i enter 1, that will execute my 1) my statement .
After executing 1) my statement i need to seen again
1
2
3

any idea...

You need to put it all in a loop...

ie

finish=No
until [ "$finish" = "Q" ]
do
echo "1\n2\n3\nQ\n"
read input

case $input in
1) ....
2) ....
3) ....
Q) finish=Q
esac
done
