I want to upload a file from local windows PC's floppy drive to SCO UNIX box and I dont know how to do that with unix ftp command, I can do that thru some ftp client kind of software but I want to know thru command line, in case of absence of any ftp client, and command to download file from unix box will be an extra advantage.

Why ftp? You can simply use scp command that works through ssh.
How to use ftp and scp loock at ftp(1), scp(1).
Also mc (midnight commander) has some ftp client.

Thanks for you reply Hitori.

I know ftp can be used to upload and download files from remote PC's. But I wanted to know a single example of uploading a file from local Windows PC's floppy Drive to remote UNIX machine without ssh and any other tool, thru ftp command line.

Can you pls quote a simple command here, it would be a great favor.

Cheers,
Patras

Ah. So you're not actually looking for information on UNIX, but Windows?

How about trying the first google hit?
