Error how to use scp without passord
Please guide me how to use scp without password prompt when i am trying to copy a file from one system to another. rcp command is not working even after i have put entries in .rhost file.

Hi,

I hope i can help you..

Overhere we give the port number with the scp command and then you don't get the password prompt.

scp filename hostname#portnumber(6281):/filename

What you have to do is share to public ssh key on one machine to the know_hosts on the other machine and do the same with the other machine to this machine.
