list of files in one Directory

How do I get list of all the files in one directory.

ls -la /path/to/directory should work okay for you.

re: list of files in one Directory
cd /dir
ls -latr (will put it in chronological order)
ls -l | sort +4n (will list out size from low to high)


...i would suggest that you use your man pages.

using ls -l will also give you directories and links. If you want only files you need find.

do a "man find" and look into -type and -depth
