connect sybase with deifferent IP

That's works, but how if the sybase server has a different IP with the UNIX OS?

For example, the shell script is created ini IP 192.168.1.4, and i want to connect sybase in server with IP 192.168.1.5?

Hi,

Yu can use the below query to connect the sybase database in unix

$SYBASE/bin/isql -S$SERVER -U$USERID -P$PSWD -w300 -o output.log <<EOF
select * from table_name
go
EOF

you can login to a IP 192.168.1.5 first and after do it run isql -Uxx -Pxx -Sxx

something liket that:
1.telnet 192.168.1.5
2.user/pass
3.isql ...
