arguments in sourcing file
Hello !

I want to make a script like that.

#!/bin/csh -f

setenv toto me
setenv titi you
setenv tata $1

in which tata is visible outside the script, after sourcing this script.

It seems that you can only do
source script and not
source script arg

How can I do that ?

I belive you are looking for.....

export tata

In csh when you source another script it's running in your current context.
That's why source xxx arg doesn't get you what you want.
You'd have to either do:
set argv=( "blah1" "blah2"...)
then
source xxx (it would then 'see' the $1)
or
set abc="blah..."
then
source xxx (and it would have to access $abc)

Thanks, but in fact I want to source a file which has some arguments.

I want to do:

source myfile arg1 arg2

and in myfile:

set var1=$arg1
# 5

The as I had indicated in method one:

you would need to "set argv=( arg1 arg2 arg3... )"
then
source <your file.> (without arguments on the line!)

<Your file> would then be able to use $1, $2, $3... or argv[1], argv[2], argv[3]...
