Storing data from a table into a csv file
Hi

I need to write a bash script to take the data stored in 3 oracle tables .. and filter them and store the results in a csv file.

It is an Oracle database

how do you normally query the database?

what does the extract looks like?

I have a script which extracts data from an ingres db - i then use grep/sed to format it down into a .csv. My script simply echos the sql to a temp file, then I run this tmp file within my script. I am not very familiar with oracle but do these help:
